My father is a known patient of DVT since 2013. He is being treated for the same by Dr. Sunder Narasimhan. A left iliac vein stent was placed in March of 2014. My dad was noncompliant with medications and also missed several follow-up visits and as a result he had progressive pain in his left thigh with severe discoloration of the skin. Following this a venogram was done and he was diagnosed to have stent occlusion. An attempt for angioplasty was unsuccessful because the lesion could not be crossed and the procedure got aborted. In 2016 his symptoms were recurrent and he had skin breakdown and redness over left lower limb and a peripheral angioplasty was done. He tolerated the procedure well and was discharged in stable condition. In May of 2018 my father developed swelling of his RIGHT lower limb with complaints of pain while walking along with non-healing venous ulcers of left lower extremity and he was diagnosed to have bilateral DVT of lower extremities and following that peripheral angioplasty along with thrombolysis was done and he was put on blood thinners for the same and advised to wear stockings. Since my dad was nonadherent to the treatment all the efforts made by Dr. Sunder Narasimhan were in vain and again in first week of January 2020 my father developed severe pain in his left leg with inability to walk and again we rushed to Dr. Sunder Narasimhan. We got him admitted and he underwent thrombectomy and an AV fistula was created to restore the blood flow along with Femoropopliteal bypass by Dr. Sunder Narasimhan. My dad tolerated the procedure well without any postoperative complications and was discharged in stable condition. Thanks doctor for taking care of my dad so well and your patience is really admirable. You and only YOU are the reason behind our cheer.

I would like to share my experience with Dr Sunder Narasimhan and I am very thankful for him. I have been on dialysis from almost six years. Due to long term dialysis, I had few complications with my AV Fistula like multiple clots and fistula stopped working. Most of the vascular surgeons refused to remove the clot since it is complicated and advised to go for new fistula. Then I met Dr.Sunder Narasimhan in Apollo in 2017. He took my complicated case as a challenge and did fistulogram and removed the clot using Ballon angioplasty and made my old fistula function again. After 6 months I underwent angiogram and angioplasty again due to the clots. It was very complicated and he suggested to go for permcath as an alternate access for dialysis and he even constructed a new fistula in 2018. I really thank him for the experience and knowledge he has and shares with patients. He explains the complications and makes the patients understand what has to be done and what are the options available. His surgical skills are outstanding, and even my complicated case was very easy for him to solve. Thank you for the kindness and respect you showed me. I so much appreciate the compassion. I highly recommend him for any complication regarding vascular problems.

So we have been associated with Dr Sundar Narshimhan for the past 5+ years. He has been a great pillar of strength 1stly. My father had been suffering from multiple leg ailments like DVT, gangrene, cellulitis. He is diabetic for the past 25yrs and had been suffering from pain and other things due to gangrene. Ever since we have started consulting Dr Sundar he has been nothing less than compassionate understanding and supportive. He helped him out in ways I don't think anyone else could have. He has performed multiple surgeries to save his leg and was successful in doin so on multiple occasions. He has always tried to be optimistic in the hardest of situations and encouraged us to do so too. I can never thank him enough for being empathetic and so committed to my father and my family. Thank you DR. SUNDAR for all the help and humility you have shown us.

Dr Sunder was just awesome. A caring man that saved my toe from removal and performed complex keyhole surgery to clear blockages in the arteries that go to my legs. Normally this surgery would involve 2 small holes in my groin but as one artery was fully blocked he also had to make a hole in my inner elbow to get at the blockage from above and below to be able to insert stents to allow proper blood flow. I believe this also saved me from more invasive surgery and a bypass" operation. This man changed my life for the better and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing vascular surgery. Keep up the good work improving people's live Sunder :D"

Had admitted my dad to Apollo hospital Bannerghatta as he had a hip fracture, but, coincidentally his fistula, through which he does haemo dialysis developed a major clot at the same time. Dr Sunder and his wonderful team recognised the problem by doing angiogram and very skilfully removed the blood clot with minimal blood loss which let the haemoglobin levels to stay high and let the orthopedic team complete the hip surgery the very next day. Nothing short of a miracle.

My dad Mr. Prakash 52 years old had a Transient ischemic attack about a month ago he had slurring talk, right mouth deviation and weakness in the right side. Doppler showed 70% stenosis left ICA origin. Dr. Sunder narshiman guided us and told a cardio endartrectomy-left needs to be done. He also gave us to choose between stunt application and an open neck surgery and told us about the pros and cons about the same. We choose open neck operation. The operation went on really well with no complications, the best doctor ever. Guided us with proper information and confidence. Now he has recoverd from all the symptoms, he also back to normal. Thanks to Dr. Sunder narshiman and his team who took a really good care of my father. His team was always there to clear out any doubt or confusions. Glad we came across such a good doctor.

We came to Dr Sunder Narasimhan (Vascular Surgeon) at a time when my mother in law was suffering with Vasculitis ulcer for more than 2 months... we were bandaging the wound on alternate days but it was not healing. There was a colorless oozing and she was having a lot of pain... when Dr Sunder Narasimhan saw her, he immediately did a biopsy and culture test and put her on antibiotics... with his rich experience he was sure which antibiotics would be required and started on the same... the very next day the wound appeared a lot better... they continued with the antibiotics... Dr Uma Karjigi Rheumatologist also looked into her reports as this was a case of Vasculitis ulcer and suggested further blood tests... together they have advised the rest of the treatment ... Dr Sunder advised a cream to help in speeding up the healing... now it is more than 2 weeks since discharge... the wound is clearly healing... bandaging is continuing and most importantly the pain has completely reduced... we thank Dr Sunder Narasimhan and Dr Uma Karjigi for the timely and apt treatment... also to mention Dr Sunder Narasimhan's team of Dr Manjunath who has always patiently explained and cleared our concerns and Mr.Basil who was always approachable... be it for Doctor availability, clarification for medicines or bandaging etc... thanking you all again

I was recently diagnosed with DVT(Deep Vein thrombosis) by Dr Sunder Narsimhan. He was very supportive and came out from a surgery to attend us as there was an emergency. He explained the disease very well and gave us the correct suggestions as well. Before diagnosis i was not able to walk also but my pain subsided within a week. You may find him harsh at times but it is important to tell the patient and family the truth about the condition along with the risks involved and that is what he exactly did. Thank you for you help.

He is a great Surgeon. Had my Dad's Fistulla done at Apollo Hospital under Dr. Sundar. It was a challenge considering my Dad's condition, but he had managed it so well that in the last 2 years we haven't had any problems. I considered him as the best for Vascular Surgeries.

Would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Sunder Narasimhan for diagnosing and treating my father's issues with cellulitis. My father (Mr. Saivasan) has been suffering from irregular bouts of cellulitis on one of his leg. Some doctors were unable to treat this properly. After a few sessions of misdiagnoses and wrong treatment, we approached Dr. Sunder Narasimhan. While he spoke sternly, his diagnoses, medication and guidance was impeccable. I would highly recommend Dr. Sunder Narasimhan for any ailments related to varicose veins, cellulitis and other vascular/endovascular ailments.

Hi All, My mom was treated by Dr. Sundar Narasimhan for DVT at apollo. She had dislocated her ankle initially and due to immobility and wrapping of the plaster, her blood clotted in veins till her hip. Now, she had to undergo trombosys to remove clots and she also had to be operated for fixing her ankle with bolt and plates to avoid further clots due to her immobility. Thanks to Dr Sundar Narasimhan and his team that she underwent both trombosys and the orthopedic surgery on the same day. Though she did slip to low BP condition she managed to recover in 2 days thanks to intensive care and constant monitoring by the Dr Sundar and his team to provide balanced dosage of med at ICU to recover gradually. She's is doing fine now and back to her normal days ?

We need such doctors to bring back the faith in medical science. My wife had a minor fall while walking and got an artery blockage near her knee due to a clot. MRI of the knee was done and we met Dr Sunder Narasimhan for consultation as we were referred by our orthopedic to see a vascular surgeon. Dr Sunder Narasimhan noticed the critical situation of her knee, immediately explained to me and took the decision for a bypass surgery. Since, we did not have an idea of the complexity of the injury (caused by just a minor stumble while walking) and due to the different estimates of the surgery expenses given by the insurance department and billing, we were in a dilemma to go for the bypass surgery at that point of time. Dr. Sunder fought with me, even went to the extent of protesting against the authority of the hospital and convinced me to take the decision. After the Angiogram was done on the OT table and shown to me, I understood the gravity of the injury and the noble intention of Dr Sunder for his patients in such a condition. We need such doctors in our society where patients and their families feel unsafe even after going to the hospital these days. Thank you Dr Sunder My wife is doing much better now and still under the post-surgery treatment. We will share our story once she gets back to normal life. -- The entire expense of the surgery was exactly what Dr Sunder mentioned and not what Insurance and Billing officials (which was around double) said it would be.
