Dr. Atul Seth is a highly experienced Paediatric Ophthalmologist based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, with over 20 years of dedicated service in the field of pediatric eye care. Renowned for his expertise, Dr. Seth has made significant contributions to both clinical practice and academic fields. His qualifications include an MBBS, a Diploma in Ophthalmology, a DNB in Ophthalmology, and he is a Fellow of the All India College of Ophthalmology (FAICO). Dr. Seth is bilingual and speaks multiple languages including English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, and Punjabi, which allows him to effectively communicate with a diverse patient base.
As a prominent figure in ophthalmology, Dr. Seth has chaired various sessions, including the Squint session at the yearly DNB teaching programme organized by the All India Ophthalmic Society at Laxmi Eye Institute. He has also lectured at numerous Indian Medical Association (IMA) meetings in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, discussing critical topics related to squint, pediatric eye disorders, and neuro-ophthalmology.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Seth is committed to education and mentorship. He teaches postgraduate students during lectures at his center, which attract trainees from Laxmi Eye Institute and surrounding areas. Furthermore, he serves as a Visiting Faculty and Examiner in Pediatric Optometry for the M.Sc. Optometry course at The Lotus College of Optometry in Vile Parle. Experience
- Performed approximately 900 pediatric and adult squint surgeries from 2000 till date.
- Performed approximately 50 pediatric cataract surgeries with IOL implantations.
- Experience in handling pediatric eye trauma like chemical burns,traumatic lid and corneal laceration repairs and blunt traumatic injuries
- Formerly a Visiting consultant in Squint,Pediatric Ophthalmology and Neuroophthalmology at 5 superspeciality eye institutes in and outside Mumbai.
- Presently Pediatric Ophthalmology Consultant and teaching faculty at Laxmi Eye Institute (a premier eye institute and postgraduate training centre at Panvel),since year 2000

- Member of Vocational Training team for training ophthalmologists in Ethiopia, organised by Rotary Club, Chembur(west) in March 2015.
