Ø Practical knowledge of the administration of specialised Rheumatologic drugs such as disease modifying antirheumatic drugs (Methotrexate, Sulphasalazine, Hydroxychloroquine,Leflunomide,Cyclosporine, Mycophenolate Mofetil, Cyclophohamide),biologics(including Infliximab, Etanercept,Adalimumab,Golimumab,Rituximab,Tocilizumab) and Glucocorticoids, including pulse therapy, Antiosteoporotic drugs and Vaccinations.
Ø Sound knowledge of other modalities such as Intravenous Immunoglobulin therapy and Plasmapheresis.
Ø Expertise and skill in virtually pain-free joint fluid aspiration, synovial fluid analysis (including crystal identification), soft tissue injections and intraarticular injection techniques for knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, small joints of hands and feet, and temporomandibular joints.
Ø Basic knowledge of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, Nailfold Capilloroscopy and Medical Arthroscopy.
Use and interpretation of specialised immunological tests such as ANA, anti-dsDNA, Serum Complement proteins, Serum Cryoglobulins, ENAs, RF, anti-CCP, ANCA, anti-Phospholipid antibodies, anti-β2GPI, B- and T-cell functions, and Cytokine assays
